She began playing at 6 years old, and every morning at 6 a.m. she was at the piano, her fingers dancing along its keys. She had private lessons. She sang, learned theory, and at times in her life the music was all she had. She’s written and performed in Nashville, won composing awards, and now she teaches, teaches, teaches. And she performs at clubs, churches, parties and other special occasions, solo or in small groups.

She composes and occasionally records. I hear her music too seldom.
