Schlicher’s Bridge

Schlicher’s Covered Bridge is the newest and shortest of the bridges crossing the Jordan Creek. Originally built in 1882, it was rebuilt in 1995. Surrounded by the Trexler-Lehigh Game Preserve/Lehigh Valley Zoo, it is sometimes called the "deer pen bridge." It is the exit from the preserve. The Burr truss design bridge is 108 feet long with a height limit of 8 feet-2 inches and a weight limit of 3 tons. It is owned by the Commonwealth.
