As you enter the Central Adirondacks on an early autumn day, sun shining, the air devoid of urban haze, suddenly on your left along Route 28 there is the pond. It’s just a small body of still water, actually quite near the road, but it’s a special pond because it mirrors the trees, bare mountain rock and blue sky -- the essence of tranquility.
