With a variety of plants and flowers scattered around our wood side property, there are times when clouds of butterflies infest the air that we breathe. They come in as many colors as there are colors among all the blooms. This particular pollen gatherer on a pink zinnia comes in varied shades of black with highlights of blue, orange and white. A butterfly is nothing more than an insect with big colorful wings, four wings actually, and knobbed antennae. It develops from a caterpillar and lives for only a short time.
